Tree Planting

Ground cover created by tree planting and associated debris protects soil from rill and sheet erosion. It also protects water quality by filtering excess nutrients and chemicals from surface runoff and increasing infiltration rates. Healthy well managed woodlands provide long term wildlife habitat as well. Each year the district offers a tree seedling sale in which a variety of tree seedlings are offered at a reduced price.
