The Knox Soil & Water Conservation District offers many environmental related programs available for educational purposes for grades K-12, while striving to teach our youth about the importance and value of our soil and water resources.  Pictured here is some students from the Mount Vernon City Schools who are learning about the impact water quality has on the various macroinvertebrate found in the streams.   This is one program the SWCD offers to classrooms in the spring.
