Bats are an important part of our ecosystem.  Each night bats eats millions of insects.  Having bats around reduced the need to use insect repellant and bug zappers. Place your bat house on a pole, house, garage, barn, tree or any structure that is at least 15 feet tall.  Position the bat house so that if faces south or southeast to get the morning sunlight.  Bats like their houses warm. The bat house is made of 7/8 kiln dried western cedar and sells $46.50.

 

Bluebird Nesting Box

Put this nest box near a grassy area, meadow or pasture. Features overhanging roof with ventilation and allows cover to prevent rain seepage. It also features bottom slots for drainage.
